Booking Terms & Conditions

  1. General

    By making a reservation with West Village EuroHostel (“the Hostel”, “we”, “us”), you (“the Guest”, “you”) agree to these Booking Terms & Conditions, our House Rules, and any additional policies communicated at the time of booking or check‑in. These terms apply to all bookings made directly with the Hostel or via third‑party booking partners.

  2. Eligibility and check‑in requirements

    All guests must be at least 18 years of age at the time of check‑in and legally able to enter into a binding accommodation contract.
    All guests must present a valid government‑issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) and a credit card in the same name as the reservation at check‑in. We are unable to check in any guest without matching identification and a valid credit card; failure to provide these documents will be treated as a no‑show under our cancellation policy.

    The Hostel reserves the right to refuse accommodation to any person who does not meet these requirements or who is under the influence, disruptive, or otherwise poses a risk to guests or staff.

  3. Rates and payment

    Room and bed rates are quoted per night and are subject to applicable taxes and fees. A valid credit card is required to guarantee all reservations. Depending on the rate type, full or partial prepayment may be taken at the time of booking, or payment may be due at check‑in. We do not accept cash or debit cards for the required security deposit (see Section 5). Additional payment methods for room and tax may be accepted at our discretion.

  4. Cancellation, no‑show, and modifications

4.1 Standard Rate reservations

Guests may cancel or modify a Standard Rate reservation free of charge until 3:00 pm, 2 days (48 hours) before the scheduled arrival date.

Cancellations made after this time, modifications that reduce the length of stay within this window, or no‑shows will incur a cancellation fee equal to the first night’s room charge plus applicable taxes. Any remaining nights on the reservation may be cancelled.

Early departures after check‑in are treated as partial cancellations; unused nights are non‑refundable once the free‑cancellation window has passed.


4.2 Advance Purchase – 15% off Best Available Rate (non‑refundable)

Our Advance Purchase Rate offers a 15% discount off our Best Available Rate in exchange for a stricter cancellation policy.

This rate requires full prepayment at the time of booking and is completely non‑refundable and non‑changeable. No refunds, credits, date changes, or name changes are permitted if you cancel, modify, arrive late, or depart early when booked on this rate.


4.3 No‑shows

A reservation is considered a no‑show if you do not check in by 3:00 am following the scheduled arrival date and have not contacted the Hostel. In such cases, the applicable cancellation fee (as outlined above) will be charged and the remainder of the reservation may be cancelled.

  1. Security deposit
    At check‑in, a refundable security hold of 50 USD per stay is placed on a valid credit card in the guest’s name to cover potential incidentals, smoking fees, damages, or excessive cleaning.

    We do not accept cash or debit cards for the security deposit. This is an authorization only, not an advance payment, and does not apply toward room and tax.

    The security hold is released by the property after check‑out, subject to room inspection. Your bank or card issuer may take approximately 3–10 business days to release the funds; the Hostel is not responsible for any delays caused by financial institutions.


  2. Third‑party / OTA bookings
    If you book through an online travel agency or hostel booking site (such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hostelworld, etc.), their separate deposit, service‑fee, and cancellation policies apply in addition to these Terms. Any deposits or service fees paid to third‑party sites are governed by their terms and may be non‑refundable or issued only as travel credit. Changes or cancellations must usually be made through the original booking channel.

  3. House rules, maximum stay, and guest conduct
    Guests must comply with all posted House Rules, including quiet‑hours, visitor, alcohol, and smoking policies. Violation of House Rules may result in warnings, fees, and/or immediate eviction without refund.

    West Village EuroHostel operates as short‑stay, transient accommodation and may not be used as primary residence or long‑term housing. The maximum length of stay for any guest is 21 consecutive nights; extensions beyond 21 nights are not permitted and guests must vacate the property at the end of their stay.

    The Hostel reserves the right to refuse service to or remove any guest whose behavior is, in our reasonable opinion, abusive, disruptive, unsafe, or otherwise detrimental to other guests or staff. In such cases, any remaining nights may be cancelled without refund and the security deposit may be used to cover related costs.

  4. Damage, loss, and liability
    Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment caused by themselves or their visitors, and for any missing items from their room or common areas. The Hostel may charge repair or replacement costs to the card on file, including using the security deposit.

    The Hostel is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal property, whether in rooms or common areas. Please see the front desk agent if you require bag storage.

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Hostel’s liability is limited to direct damages caused by our negligence and capped at the total amount paid for the reservation in question; we are not liable for consequential or indirect losses.

  5. Check‑in, check‑out, and room use
    Standard check‑in time is from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival, and standard check‑out time is by 10:00 am on the day of departure.

    Early check‑in and late check‑out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges; such requests must be agreed with the Hostel in advance or at reception and cannot be guaranteed.

    On the day of departure, rooms and beds must be fully vacated by 10:00 am. Failure to check out on time may result in an additional fee and/or an extra night’s charge at the prevailing rate.

    Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight in the rooms. Visitors may be restricted to certain hours and areas for security and comfort reasons.

  6. Changes to these terms
    The Hostel reserves the right to update or modify these Booking Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your reservation, and updated terms will apply to future bookings.
